Allbirds is a footwear and apparel brand built on natural and recycled materials such as merino wool, tree fibres and sugarcane; footwear is the majority of its revenue. On 9 June 2026 Allbirds, Inc. sold the footwear business and the brand's intellectual property to Allbirds IP LLC, an affiliate of American Exchange Group.
The brand and allbirds.com are now owned and operated by AB Dnam, LLC of Beverly Hills, according to the brand's site; press reports say American Exchange Group and WSG Brands jointly own it. The seller now files as Smartbird, Inc., formerly known as Allbirds, Inc., and works in AI infrastructure. Its last full-year figures, for 2025, were revenue of $152.5M and 362 employees.
